The Ethan Allen furniture store near me had a holiday decorating event. We walked around the store to different rooms of tablescapes as designers shared their great holiday ideas. It was really fun. As you can see here, something as simple as blue ornaments can really jazz things up for the holidays.
Here they added touches of pink. They suggested using remnants of fabric or a duvet cover for a table runner as they did here.
They told us how they sprayed already glittered fruit with silver glitter spray paint.
Here they took a cone shaped piece of styrofoam and crumpled up little pieces of tissue paper and glued them on. They put some tulle on the bottom and a silver glittery star on top.
They sprayed branches white and put tissue paper in with the ornaments. They also used jeweled garlands to add some glitz.
Apples look great in a clear glass vase.
Some of my photos were too yellow so I made them sepia color. But what was neat about this hutch was how they
made the back look like different wrapped packages. They took a piece of cardboard, added some batting, then wrapping paper.
Then we walked to this rustic table setting. It was so pretty but I couldn't have you look at my yellow photos.
On the buffet, they added a string of lights to the garland then stuffed it into the stars.
Placing something as simple as a garland of beads around the base of this planter adds a nice holiday touch.
They told us to use silky pieces of fabric to add some richness to the tablescape like they did here
And for a buffet, to list what is served in a picture frame.
More fruit in clear glass...
This is a nice way to add sparkle to a holiday bowl
and you can see me in the mirror - haha.
I really enjoyed gathering some holiday ideas from this nice event.
