New Mom Hospital Gift Bag

I loved this idea I saw on Pinterest of giving a comfort hospital gift gag to a new mother. So I sewed a little bag for our daughter in law and filled it up. It was so much fun sewing the bag and shopping for these special items to help her through the first few days of being a mommy.

Here are more pictures of the bag. I posted a tutorial on how to make it here.

When we got word our little grandson was on his way, we took the bag to Chicago with a sock monkey peeking out. More about how I sewed the sock monkey can be found here; information on the carriage tag here. It was a hit!

  1. This is a great idea for a new mother's gift. My daughter made up a gift basket with lots of little things she knew my grand would need, including snacks for her and her husband, instead of them having to use the expensive vending machines. It was a big hit.

  4. One of the sweetest gifts that I've ever received is a hospital gift bag. My sister gave it to me and she filled it with a lot of items inside. I'm so happy that time because of that gift. This is really a wonderful idea!
