I was going through some things and found this little yellow duck from my childhood toys. I don't have many things from my childhood and am so glad to have this. I thought it belonged to a Little Kiddles doll.

After I dropped Dan off at the airport I thought I would discover another antique shop in my Indiana Antique Guide (which I have dubbed my Passport to Pleasure book). According to my GPS, Mooresville, Indiana was only 10 minutes from the airport so I headed over to the Yellow Moon Antique Mall.

I don't know why I have such a hangup about painting. I took a class back in November, purchased the chalk paint, brush, wax, etc. and it had sat on a table in the basement for a couple months. Well, I finally forced myself to paint some things and I could not believe how relaxing it was for me. I actually enjoyed it. The painting 101 class I took with Vintage Whimsy helped give me the confidence to do it. I painted this wooden frame I wrote about in this post with Maison Blanche Vanille and used their light brown wax to protect it.
|Many thanks to The Graphics Fairy for the bird image. I cut it out with the Silhouette Cameo.|
This hanging planter was a recent purchase from Willow House as they were going out of business. (It makes me sad to see businesses close. The Archivers scrapbooking store is going out of business too so that makes me doubly sad.) Anyway, I've been cutting out pretty ladies that have been pinned to my Pinterest boards with my Silhouette Cameo. I thought they would add a little Valentine's Day cheer to the foyer of our home.

Since it's snowing again today I thought I would make some snowflakes that have been on my Pinterest board for awhile. I have been having fun playing with pipe cleaners lately. This is a Michael's craft for 6-8 year olds. LOL It was fun as I've never done this before!

I know the holidays are behind us but I still had to make this angel ornament anyway. I had pinned several holiday projects made with old jello tins and I didn't want to wait until next year to do something with this angel pick I purchased from The Little Pink Studio. Her collar fit perfectly to the shape of the star.

I had to have one. An old bed spring.
I had seen them at the craft fairs I attended this past fall. So I searched Pinterest for ways to use mine. I discovered that there are many ways to use it. And then I saw a beautifully decorated Ball jar and remembered that I had just had some old family photos developed at Archivers. I was going to use them for mixed media projects but for now they can sit in the jar. The jar is like a picture frame.
I like to use pasta sauce jars because I like the shape and size and they don't have writing on the front. I placed the jar on top of the spring which held it perfectly. I clipped the beautiful flower I made at Sweethearts on the Homefront onto the spring. I enjoy looking at this project everyday while I work at my creative space.

I have been shopping at antique shops quite a bit lately to build up my stash for making things. One of the things I have been collecting are vintage jello molds. They are an artist's dream as there is so much that can be done with them!

I'm continuing on with my January challenge of making some projects that have been on my Pinterest boards for awhile. I have been itching to make this project for a long timeand I don't know why it took me so long to try it because it was very simple. Is it unusual to turn a Tom Jones record album into a bowl? Well, yes, but I did it anyway!
