I shared in this post how I found Graphic 45 paper that reminds me of the Downton Abbey TV series on PBS.
I searched the Internet for ideas on what I wanted to do with this paper pack. I pinned some things to my A Ladies Diary Graphics 45 Pinterest board but nothing came to me until now. I decided to make a journal out of it that I can use for my An Affair at Downton art retreat that is coming up in May.
My Silhouette Cameo and Cinch book binding tools worked beautifully for this project. The way I decided on what size to make the journal was by this lady on one of the pages. It's size came out to be 9.5 x 5.5 inches. I made a rounded corner square shape in the Silhouette software that size and cut all the pages out that way. The card stock has a nice weight for the cover and back.
Here's the front and back of the book. They were cut out of the same piece of 12 x 12 inch paper. The back of the book is the reverse side of the cover.
There were tags in the paper pack I cut out for journaling, and I added extra blank pages and envelopes too.
Tonight the 4th series of Downton Abbey will be on TV. Since I didn't watch Downton Abbey before, I purchased the Season One DVD last week and am almost finished with it. I ran out yesterday and got Season Two and Three because I knew a huge snowstorm was on its way. I'll have to DVR tonight's episode because I want to see the others first. I'm so excited! Are you?
