More Lovely Ladies

I had been keeping my eyes open for a vintage wedding cake topper and finally found one at Whimzy - Unique Finds & Custom Designs in Noblesville, Indiana. It was in its original box and had never been opened! It is so fresh and crisp and white. I love it and what a great find!

I collect dolls dressed in cream or white. I've also found these other lovely ladies recently.

I never had a Nancy Storybook doll as a child. In doing a little research here, I found that they were created in 1937, a bit before my time :-). So that's probably why I didn't have one - there were other dolls more durable available for my generation.

I love the heart shaped lips.

I keep them all together under a cloche.

Do you have wedding cake toppers or Nancy Storybook dolls?

My first post about lovely ladies can be read here.

  2. What darling dolls, and how fun to collect them. My favorites are of the Madame Alexander group. Just love those, and remember playing with them when i was little... Still have the ones that I enjoyed, and have added a few since.

  3. That's a pretty little collection under the cloche. I like how you've narrowed it down to 'dressed in cream or white'. My wedding cake topper sits in the china cabinet - a pair of white doves.

  4. They are so pretty! Love them in the cloche. I have no dolls, and already have too many collections, so I'll keep it that way and just admire yours and others. :)

  5. These are so pretty! And that's a good way to display them--you can see them, but they don't get dusty.

  7. They are lovely Patty, glad you found one in mint condition! Do you know I collect dolls too? Not the vintage kind(yet), but I do and have yet to share that obsession of mine soon. :-)

  8. I did not have a Nancy doll, but I recognize her from some of my mother's vast doll collection. My sister has the collection today- neither of us know what to do with the collections because it goes back 200 years. There are porcelain heads, shoes and clothes still in the original boxes that are 100 years old. Someday, we will deal with it.
