Green BEAN Indiana Review

I was thrilled when I was asked by Green BEAN Indiana Organic Produce and Natural Groceries to review a complimentary delivery of organic produce right to my doorstep. Green BEAN is a local, year round service that delivers all-natural foods sourced from Midwest farmers and artisans. It gives members a healthy alternative to conventional grocery stores while supporting local farmers and artisans.

A green box arrived on our front porch filled with a small produce package valued at $35. I just happened to be home at that time (although you don't have to be home upon its arrival) and spoke with the delivery man. As he was showing me its contents, he told me that he is proud to work for Green BEAN because of the healthy foods that they offer to their customers.

I was impressed with the good communication emails I received from Green BEAN in preparation for the delivery. A reminder was sent to let me know that I could customize my order, which I did and found it to be a very simple and easy process.

I'm always interested in finding new healthy alternatives for meals. Here is what was in the Green BEAN box.  I couldn't wait to sample these healthy foods.

Dan was out of town on business so I tried some things on my own and then shared some with Ashleigh the next day. First, I ate a gala apple and it was just the right size and as delicious as it appeared.

The delivery man had made a special point to tell me about the great broccoli that was in my stash, so I microwaved some and sprinkled Parmesan cheese on it. I have never tasted broccoli as good as this and I could eat it every day.

I ate two delicious strawberries too. I knew that Ashleigh would be spending the next day with me painting furniture for her new apartment and that we would be taking a break for a healthy and delicious lunch!

Ashleigh made a balsamic vinegar dressing for the salad and cooked zucchini and asparagus together in the skillet while I cut up the cherry tomatoes and strawberries.

We'll use the green beans this weekend in a recipe Dan made for me when we first met: cottage ham and green beans with red skin potatoes. And I might just surprise him with some zucchini bread!

I would highly recommend using the Green BEAN organic produce delivery service. For $35, I felt it was a great value to have delicious foods delivered right to my doorstep. If you spend $35, there is no additional delivery fee. Also, you have several options as to how you can customize your order; for example once a week, or every other week and you can add additional items to your order at any time.

For one week only, I can offer this promotion to you: $15 off your first order for new members and reactivations when you use this code 15PPTml. The offer ends on Saturday, March 15th.

  1. This sounds awesome! I'll have to see if we have something like this in Florida! Fresh is always best. I like to sautee broccoli....or any veggie for just a few minutes. Yummy! Sweet hugs!
