Indiana Antique Guide: Upscale Junk & Antiques

While in a local antique shop the other day, I spoke with a sweet lady about our passion for vintage things. She asked me if I had been to the new shop called Upscale Junk & Antiques. It's on US 31, in Cicero, Indiana. Dan & I had the opportunity to visit there last weekend and I found it to be one of the most beautifully decorated antique shops I've ever seen. Before I show you some of the decor, I want to show you this vintage stroller we saw. It about took my breath away! I immediately thought of a photo of me sitting in one that I have in my scrapbook album.

So here are some pictures of the rooms that are filled with wonderful vintage items. I was told there are two interior decorators in house that keep things looking really attractive. Love this huge black piece!

Buttons! With the stash I have, I've gotta make some of these button bouquets!

Another great idea of something to make with my collection of lace!

Dan really enjoyed seeing this retro 1950s era table and chairs, and we stopped and reminisced about it for a bit.

Dolls!

Aren't they wonderful?

Seeing these skates made me want to find some saddle shoes and get out on the sidewalk! I already have a skate key, so I'm ready!

Someday I will get one of these pricy lady vases. She will have pearl earrings like the two on the right. The one on the far right is a photo I've been holding onto from another shop. It's probably already sold.

Here are the treasures I took home with me. I managed to find buttons, lace, and a doily among other things. We will be back there soon, for sure!

This shop is in the updated version of the Indiana Antique Guide. Dan says I need to see if I'm missing any new shops. Thanks Dan...
