Bridal Shower Invitations & Banner

I love crafting with my daughter Ashleigh. She's very creative too so it's fun for us to bounce ideas off of each other. She needed to make bridal shower invitations for a wedding she will be witnessing soon. Since the wedding will be held at a library, she wanted an open book cut out for the top of the card to announce the bridal shower. It was no problem with the Silhouette Cameo. We found a book and font that we liked and we cut out 32 of them.

Here is the completed invitation.

After we cut out the little books, we thought it would be fun to make a banner for the shower. We made larger books like the little books (in the top photo), but then decided to place individual letters on them.

Off white roses with a vintage theme will be used in the wedding so we separated the words with a vintage rose image.

Another fun mother-daughter project completed!

  3. So creative and unique!!!!!! The apple truly does not fall far from the tree in your case Patty! Love it! It would be cute too, if the couple loves to read, to have guests bring a favorite book and write their dedication there either to the bride or both to get a headstart on their library! I see this done in baby showers too. :-) Have a great weekend!

  4. So fun!

My daughter and I are working on a baby shower right now. Or, more precisely, am cutting out all the boxes and gluing them together. She is off relaxing in Lake Tahoe. In her defense, it is her birthday.
