My Happy List: A Happy Home

My friend Becky sent me some accessories for my doll house. The dog resting on the rug resembles her dog that I met when I visited her in January. Becky understands how I have had difficulty relating to dogs after suffering a traumatic childhood bite to my face by a German Shepherd. With her help, I was able to see that her dog is sweet and gentle and he and I quickly became friends. The magazines reminded Becky of my recent trip out west to attend An Affair at Downton. Becky's thoughtfulness means so much to me. What a sweet token of friendship from her.

I recently found some other pieces for my happy little home: a dining room set, a matching blue chair to the one in the above photo, a Mom, and two twin beds for the childrens' room.

It's coming along nicely.

I'm still pretty high about my recent vacation to Southern California.

There is something about light fixtures that intrigues me. These are some I saw while on my vacation.

The extra toilet roll in the Ayres Hotel bathroom had a nice decorative touch.

Here is a photo of the ladies I played with while on my trip to An Affair at Downton. It was taken by Tiffany Kirchner Dixon of The Fancy Farmgirl. It was such a good time!

What's on your happy list this week?

  4. Nice happy list. Looks like there was a large turnout for the Downton event.
I need to dust my dollhouses and start working on them again. One of my Granddaughters used to dust them for me, but she now has her own home to dust. :-D

  5. I'm happy it's the weekend. Sweet little items for your dollhouse. The event you attended must have been great fun. My college boy went to CA for Spring Break to visit friends. I've never even been there. Have a wonderful day. Tammy

  6. I am mainly happy that I am not working because it is 100 degrees on the beach today.

Love your dollhouse. I built one for my daughter almost 30 years ago. I should bring it down from the attic to look at it again.
