April's Happy List

It's time for another happy list.

1. I'm starting off with Ashleigh's latest commissioned charcoal drawing. Her work always makes me happy and I know the mother of this beautiful baby is happy to have it. It always amazes me how she captures things like blankets and hair.

2. When I visited my friend Becky in Alabama, she gave me some things she didn't want anymore. One of my newest treasures is this sweet nightlight that works great in our guest bathroom. It's so fitting that I received this lovely girl with a chick just before Easter Sunday.

She also gave me this green chicken candy dish, and with green being my favorite color, I was happy! I placed it on a shelf in the kitchen

along with this fun yellow vintage wall plaque that is on another shelf.

I also brought back some treasures from Missy while in Alabama. One of them is this adorable doll with vintage ribbons and zig zag trim on her that I enjoy while working at my desk.

Another thing she gave me is this wonderfully embroidered/cross stitched/crocheted Monday towel with a laundry design on it. Whomever created this towel knew all of the stitches! I've been looking for the right towel for the sink in my laundry room and this is perfect.

What sweet and generous ladies! I'm so happy I got to spend a weekend with them. If you want to read more about my girls weekend with Becky and Missy, you can find it here.

3. I feel like my blog has been suffering from not being blogged on much lately. I do plan to continue with it but with less posts. I really enjoy writing happy lists such as this one to have as a journal for myself so I can look back on these things. Also, I feel that maybe they will inspire others to make happy lists too.

What has been keeping me so busy is stocking my Etsy shop. It takes a great deal of time and energy to design products, test them out, photograph them and list them in the shop. But I am happy doing it - it's what I love to do at this stage of my life. And I have met many wonderful people who have made purchases in my shop.

Sometimes I find it a little difficult to keep up with the holidays. But now I have things for Mothers' and Fathers' Day; patriotic holidays; weddings, anniversaries and babies; graduation parties; spring; National Nurse Day; vacations and more! Here are some of my most recent listings:

If you like what you see, you can find it in my Etsy shop here.

4. And finally, spring is here! It's wonderful to hear the birds chirping outside my window, daffodils popping up, and the grass waking up and becoming green once again. Oh, that means it's time for spring cleaning. I hope to put on a happy list that it's completed in the very near future. LOL

So what's on your happy list? Please share.
