I don't know what I was thinking when I purchased these sea foam green finials. I really liked them at the time of purchase but when I got them home, I couldn't find a place for them. They have sat in the basement storage for several years.
I really have liked their shapes but not their color.
Actually, I love the detail, especially on this one.
I was about to drop them off at the Goodwill drive-thru lane.
But then I remembered from reading blogs that you can paint just about anything! So I gave it a try and spray painted them with a black matte finish.
I'm in love with my black finials now.
This was my first try at spray painting.
I can envision many more painted projects for the future!
Great redo! A can of spray paint has given a lot of things a new life around my home.
ReplyDeleteI also spray painted a couple of finials black a while back.
Have a great week.
Your finials turned out lovely in black. I love spray paint for so many different projects--well done, Patty!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, those finials are gorgeous now! I do paint anything that stands still and love the detail the black has brought out on these. ~ Maureen
ReplyDeleteLove them and painting them is perfect. You can also use a little gold Rub-n-Buff if you want to give them a little accented detail. It's so fun to play. Thanks for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteWow I am shocked those are the same ones. I love what paint can do! My husband thinks I go a little overboard with painting but it is an easy way to change things up!
ReplyDeleteThe black is so elegant...it works!
ReplyDeleteWow! Just wow. Thanks for sharing. I'm glad I clicked on your picture from Wow Us Wednesday. :)

They look great, isn't it amazing what a little spray paint can do? And, there's so many choices of spray paint on the market now. Glad those didn't make it to the Goodwill :)
ReplyDeleteThose finials look really good now Patty. Thanks for sharing.
