For my favorite thing this week, I want to show you this sweet package I received in the mail the other day from Nancy of A Rural Journal.
I was a winner of the Valentine's Day Boost My Blog party. The package included a vintage Ball canning jar dated July 14, 1908 filled with felt fortune cookies, a bag of yummy chocolates and this gorgeous bird card. Thank you, Nancy.
It was such a colorful package I couldn't stop taking pictures of it.
The fortune cookies are so neat! They're better than the edible kind!
Then I remembered I have another Ball jar that was given to me by a student several years ago. Now I can say I have a collection of vintage Ball jars.
I love the different lids and the bubbles in the glass. I really appreciate vintage things.
For more favorite things, visit Claudia of Mockingbird Hill Cottage.
Thank you, Claudia, for hosting this fun party each week!
Love Ball jars. They have so many uses.
ReplyDeleteI made those fortune cookies to set a Valentine table when my husband and I first married. They are super fun.
Enjoy and have a lovely weekend.
