Our neighborhood association hosted a Wine & Canvas class for ladies night. It was great fun. Wine & Canvas is something that started in Indianapolis and is growing rapidly in other locations. I had heard about it for a long time so was eager to attend the class. This is my masterpiece.
The artist gave very simple step-by-step instructions.
I think this one wins the prize for being most unique. My neighbor said she is not an artist at all but likes bright colors and works with stained glass. Maybe she should look into painting also.
It was a three hour class and I would highly recommend it. Oh, and there was good food and drink there too!

Oh, how fun! I have looked for one here a few months ago. I want to go to one with some friends in the worse way.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job!
What a wonderful event. Something like this might actually give me the courage to try to paint! I love the pastel colors in your painting.
ReplyDeletePatty, if they were giving out prizes, yours should have won! I love it! I adore the composition and the colors. You did an outstanding job. Have you painted before? You really have talent.
ReplyDeleteI would love to do something like this. Someone mentioned something similar they were going to in our town, and I am determined now to try and go. What fun! Thanks for sharing this with us.
I'm dropping by as a participant from Claudia's blog party, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I can certainly see why your painting is a favorite thing. It's neat!

Sheila
What a fun thing to do Patty!
ReplyDeleteI love your painting and I hope it's farmed and hanging in a prominant place in your home by now!
Visiting from Claudias!
Enjoy your weekend.

Patty... I love yours! Seriously! Not just saying it to make you feel good.. I really like it! Have you found a special place to hang it in your home? The only time I have heard about this type of event was on Real Housewives of Orange County. Yes, I said that! LOL And those ladies had a good time, too! Wish there was something like that up this way. I would love to spend an evening doing this! Thanks for sharing your talent with everyone!
ReplyDeleteLooks fun! Like your painting too! Visting from MHC.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to mingle and learn!!! Would love to learn how to paint someday. You are talented on this! Have a great weekend Patty!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a really fun class and the painting came out beautifully! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like so much fun, I'll have to see if we have anything like that here. I love your painting - I can't paint or draw AT ALL, woe is me.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
I never heard of these classes but seeing your photos makes me see the appeal! Your [painting is delightful! Where is it going to be displayed???
ReplyDeleteLove your bright and happy painting! You should definitely frame it! I can't draw a straight line myself!
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of these classes either, but I think it's such a great idea. My dad painted in oils and I've always felt that I didn't inherit one iota of his talent. A class like this might be a fun way to see if there's a little bit of it in me!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for joining in this week.
