The Local Flavor Swap Reveal

I had mentioned that I joined in on The Chaotic Goddess Local Flavor Swap. We were to send goodies to our swap partner that represented our town, or things specific to our location. It was so much fun gathering things together for my swap partner, Patti of Pandora's Box. While doing so I learned some things about my state of Indiana, such as the cardinal being the state bird and the peony being the state flower.

Here is what Patti sent to me from New York. Everything was individually wrapped, so it was like Christmas in August. Do you see the New York Yankees CHOCOLATE peanut butter bar?

Patti went to great lengths to explain the significance of everything, except for the candy bar. :) It didn't need no explainin'. Do you see the little package at the right bottom that says "a little something I made for you?" It's really something special!

Wait until you see the detail of what is inside this beautiful beaded box she made.

A sewing kit! Isn't it adorable? I really appreciate this and love receiving others' handmade items.

Here's a closer look at the Lemongrass Ginger soap. It has such a wonderful fragrance. Our guest bathroom is smelling very pleasurable right now!

Barbecue sauce, dipping spices and oil...can't wait to try these!

and coffee...

and did I mention the chocolate peanut butter bar?

All of this from my new blogging friend and swap partner from

  1. What a fun idea for a swap. Of course, my favorite is the sewing kit - clever idea.

I was trying to think of what I would include for my town and cannot come up with anything "iconic". I must keep my brain thinking on that one.

  9. I love the sewing kit! How ADORABLE!!! You got a lot of great things. Oh that candy bar. I would have to figure out a way to keep it. The Yankees they are one of my favorite teams since I was a child, although my darling husband does not consider them a "real" team.

It was a fun swap! I love how the two Patty/Pattie partnered.
