As I had mentioned in this post, when I shopped at Horton's of Tipton's autumn market, two very talented ladies gave us a tablescape demonstration. They are sisters who work well together. One is an interior designer and the other makes awesome things for J'Ann & Co. in Noblesville, Indiana.
Here was the first tablescape which was for a sunflower country-themed fall lunch. They even had menus that went along with the events.

Sunflower seed packets would be given as gifts to the guests. |
Little pots were cleverly placed under a cloche.
Horton's of Tipton is much, much more than a hardware store!
The second tablescape was for a book club lunch. Large flat books were used as placemats.
They discussed how important it is to make varying heights with your decor to add interest to the table.
A gift of a bookmark graced each setting.
They adhered book pages to the sides of the brown paper tablecloth.
Scrabble letters were placed in the bowls to be used as place cards. They suggested scrambling the letters to make it more fun for the guests to find their place.
The last one was for a bridal shower. They suggested turning the tablecloth catawampus to add an interesting perspective to the lines of the table.
Silver could be polished, or not. Looks good either way. Battery operated candles are safe and becoming more interesting all the time.
Pumpkins of fabric and lace added to a fall themed bridal shower.
They said each table needs a WOW factor. The white wooden frames created such a factor here.
Which is your favorite? I can't decide - they all inspired me in some special way.

WOW! What lovely ideas for the table! Each one is UNIQUE and beautiful. I could not pick a favorite either.....all three have special themes that inspire! This town will be put on my "list"! Is there a Spring Show set-up? Blessings~~~Roxie
ReplyDeletePatty, I love going to Horton's. The tablescapes were adorable. Look on the Horton blog....they are getting ready for the Christmas happenings. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful fall tables! I've actually visited Noblesville. My daughter lives in Muncie and we've shopped at Noblesville a couple of times when I've visited her. It's a lovely city.
ReplyDeleteI love them all, but I have to go with the book club table for my favorite. I love the brown paper with the book pages as a table cloth. I don't think I would use actual books as placemats, but book pages would be cute.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration.
love them all most especially the book one!
ReplyDeleteOh, everything is so pretty. I need to learn to vary the heights in my vignettes. I love the pretty pumpkins and right now I have a crown like that one on my wish list! I would love to find one that I could afford! Enjoy your afternoon! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteLots of good ideas used. Thanks for sharing these with us.
ReplyDeleteOh what great tablescapes. I love the book club tablescape!
