Grey Dey Thursdey

We recently stayed at the West Baden Springs Hotel in French Lick, Indiana. I thought besides the wonderful fragrance, the lotion bottles there had such an interesting and unique shape.

It got me to thinking about the other pretty toiletry samples Dan has brought home from all around the world.

Some of these are way too pretty to keep in a drawer.

It's a good time to clean out this drawer and share with the homeless shelters.

  1. That's exactly what I do. My Hubby does lots of travel too and I make up hygiene kits with a hand-knitted washcloth, toothbrush and toiletries for either pine Ridge Indian Reservation or the homeless here. My dentist volunteers toothbrushes for them and I use hotel freebies for the rest.
By the way your basket is gorgeous.
    Blessings,

    1. I love this idea, Betsy! I crochet dishcloths and maybe I could ask my dentist to contribute too.

  2. I love pretty soaps and lotions. I keep the ones I like best and we donate the others, too. It's nice to be able to share. Enjoy your weekend my friend!

  3. I also love the pretty soaps and lotions, and the packaging makes a big difference. I have some soap my daughter brought me from Greece and I don't have the heart to take off the pretty wrapping. :D
    Have a great weekend.

  4. I can't believe those on display are all hotel stuff!!! Glad I'm not alone, I have a stash too that I keep although we haven't been to many places with gorgeous bottles like the one from French Lick! We've always wanted to go there too, hopefully, someday soon. :-) Have a great weekend dear!

  6. That's a great idea, and I know that our church hosts homeless families one night per week. Thanks for being such a thoughtful person and sharing this idea with us!
