This year, I've developed a fondness for making spoolies for the holidays. It started with the Valentine's Day swap. Then I made a St. Patrick's day spoolie. So when I was asked to be in a spring spoolie swap, I decided to make a bunch since it's so much fun embellishing vintage spools and photos.

Which one do you think I sent to my swap partner? |
Here's the package I sent to my swap partner, Cindi, of Today I.....
Here is the front and back of the spoolie.
Here's the spring egg spoolie Cindi sent to me! Isn't it wonderful!
I know she read my blog because she sent me buttons (white and green ones), among other great things that I love. She also sent shamrock fabric I can use for St. Patty's Day!
The Altoids box she sent me is one of the older ones that doesn't have the raised areas on it. Altering it comes to my mind!
Cindi covered all of the holidays with Christmas buttons, Valentine's Day picks, St. Patty's Day fabric and buttons, the egg spoolie for Easter, and a flag and witch pick for patriotic holidays and Halloween! She also added happy birthday and some vintage millinery - see the 39 cent tag on it?

Fabulous spoolies Patty, so creative. Love the old photograph idea. Sweet button tree spoolie you received too!
ReplyDeleteSpoolies are so cute and it's always fun to see what everyone shares in the swaps! I have never tried to make anything with my old spools but I should! Enjoy your weekend my friend! Sweet hugs, Diane
