Art Squared: Make Art, Be Art, Buy Art

Ashleigh and I have dreamed about selling our art together for awhile now. She suggested we have a booth at a local event called Art Squared: Make Art, Be Art, Buy Art. This will be our first adventure of this kind together.

The event will commence on September 20, 2014 from 12-6 PM.

There will be three activities:

Masterpiece in a Day

Fountain Square Art Parade

Fountain Square Art Fair

More information about Art Squared can be found here.

What a timely surprise it was to receive this wonderful banner in the mail from Carol of Art and Sand that relates to dreaming. Maybe it's an omen, a gesture of encouragement. She also sent a little bottle of buttons with a sweet eyelet handkerchief.

Thank you, Carol, for these treasures and for your friendship.

Ash & I are dreaming of all kinds of things to make for Art Squared. I already have a good start.

The name of our booth will be My Mom & Me: Our Vintage Creations.

Hope to see you at Art Squared in Fountain Square on September 20th!

  1. Patty, I love the gifts from Carol. Such a sweet gesture. The name you have chosen for your booth is nice...I love when moms and daughters connect. xoxo,Susie

  2. What an exciting event to look forward to for you both. You are going to be a busy lady! Don't forget to take lots of pics, as you know us bloggers love pictures. LOL

  3. It sounds like a wonderful adventure and I love this pretty gift from Carol. She is always so thoughtful and sweet...and very talented, too! Enjoy your week! Hugs!

  4. What a wonderful idea, and I hope it goes well for you and Ashleigh! I would love to be able to visit--wish it was closer by!

  5. Hello from Spain: I wish you good luck to you and Ashleighe. Nice name for your stand. Great gifts. Keep in touch

  6. Love the name of your booth . . . love that the D R E A M banner worked for you. I had it all wrapped the day we met and forgot to take it. After learning more about your lace & bling style I was glad I forgot it, but I am glad that I decided to send it anyway.

I can't wait to see what you two come up with for your booth.

By the way, Ventura hosts two Art Walks a year and they are quite successful. Steve used to show at Art Walk, but now he is showing in galleries that don't allow him to sell at Art Walk.

Have fun on your road trip and thanks for the mention.

One more thing - the little handkerchief was a Big Lots purchase for $1. I think it was a Martha Stewart. It was meant to be for a wedding and the rings were to be tied onto the ribbon.

  7. This is exciting!!!! I know your booth will be hit! Good luck and keep us posted!
