I'm All Shook Up at Jungle Jim's International Market

If you ever need groceries when you are in Fairfield, Ohio, you might want to explore Jungle Jim's International Market. We lived in the area back in 1988 and shopped there many times, but now being there after 25 years I see that Jungle Jim's had grown tremendously. While I was visiting my Mother who lives in Cincinnati, she wanted to buy a jar of watermelon pickles. So while she was hunting down the pickles, I took lots of pictures to share with you.

The first amazing thing I saw there was this giant Campbell's soup can swinging in the air.

Everything there is of an enormous size, including this cake above the bakery.

Here is a sampling from the unique and extensive candy department. My friend loves the Renaissance Period and has crowns all over her house so I brought her back a crown filled with too so we could play!

Elvis was there and he was all shook up!

The international aisles of Jungle Jim's are fabulous.

There's even a fire engine on standby in case there's a fire. LOL

You can find such things from huge fish

to the Sherwood Forest.

This tiny theater in the store explains how Jim's dream was made into a reality. It's a very inspirational story and you can read about it here.

This is the exit of the store. Mom loves bananas so I took a picture of her under the giant banana.

I enjoyed seeing Jungle Jim's again. It brought back such memories of when our children were little and of a shopping experience like no other I have encountered. I promise, it'll shake you up too!

Sharing with Pink Saturday

  1. That looks like such a fun spot to spend some time. I would have trouble getting away from that dessert display.

  2. I have never heard of Jungle Jims, but it looks and sounds like a fun place. I might actually learn to enjoy grocery shopping if I shopped there.

    Happy pink Saturday to you,

  3. Hello from Spain: Jungle Jim is a fabulous site. Everything is great. It is a very original store. I like to see stores in your country. Nice pictures. Keep in touch

  4. Looks like a fun place to shop. Only problem with stores like that, I end up buying some things and look at it later and wonder why.
Hope you are enjoying the weekend.

  5. Jungle Jims looks incredible!!! If I am ever in Cincinnati will visit it :-)

  6. Patty, if I ever get up that way I would love to visit Jungle Jim's because it looks like a great place to see. The video of Elvis is really cute. I checked out the story about how Jim got started and it really is inspirational. He was a very determined man and some people would do well to take notice of how he built the business. Thanks for sharing this great place with us! Have a beautiful week!

  7. wow...this looks awesome, Patty. Hope someday to go there....and, if I do, I'd be close enuf to you that I'd take you to lunch..:)

  8. My very favorite store! Wish we had one in Atlanta. Thanks for the memories.

  9. What a unique store! How fun is that to go shopping? Hmm.... definitely will add that to a stop by when we go to Cincinnati in a few years. I have a feeling a wedding may take place there in the next few years involving my son as a groom. ;)
