I've been painting again with Maison Blanch Vanille. This is the brass wall piece I found here, all painted and waxed now. I like how the wax brings out the detail on the plate.
It coordinates nicely with the cabinets in my kitchen.
A few weeks after I painted the piece above, I found this piece for $2.50 and painted and waxed it too.
I was intrigued when I saw this container in a shop in Charlotte, North Carolina.
I liked how they tied ribbons to one end of the piece.
During that same trip, I found this piece at a Goodwill store for $2
and finished if off like this.
I'm such a copycat.
I saw these ABC/123 Baby Building Blocks while shopping out in California and thought, people paint anything and everything!
I found this small wooden dress form at that same Goodwill store in Charlotte
and painted it for my creative space.
I saw this stenciled chair while out shopping locally
and I painted this child size one that was given to me for free at a garage sale. I'm not sure if I want to put a stencil on it...still deciding.
I saw this idea on Pinterest a while back. People were painting Nativity sets that they found at a Goodwill store. I found a few pieces in my town at a Goodwill store and
painted them Vanille.
And finally, one of the treats Ashleigh gave me for Mother's Day was this adorable stencil/kitchen towels kit. Since it was a new skill for me, I was a little hesitant to try it. One evening I sat down and found it to be a really relaxing and enjoyable project that had great results! The kit came from Darby Smart. The kind of paint used was Speedball black fabric/paper paint.
A friend suggested that I paint the stencil on this chair seat too. Great idea!
I have one more painted project to show you (in another color!) and then I'm putting the paint and brushes away and moving onto other kinds of crafting. Have you done any painting lately?

Wow great results! I will look at things differently.
ReplyDeleteHello from Spain: your paintings are awesome. You are very creative. I really like your makeovers to your objects. You have a very fancy house. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteLove the waxed version indeed Patty! I wouldn't stencil the plastic chair yet either, looks pretty the way it was. The nativity idea is great too and it's the best time to scour around before the season hits. Love the chair stencil too Patty!
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy with the paint brush - lots of pretty results. I like the stencil a lot.
ReplyDeleteNo painting going on around here for some time now.
Wow Patty, that brass wall piece turned out beautifully. It totally changed the look of it and I also like the other wall piece too. They are gorgeous in your kitchen. And that Goodwill brass piece looks fabulous as well.....but your Ribbon and Bows look much prettier that the other!! Very creative and fresh ideas...that paint color is beautiful! Did you say it was a chalk paint? Blessings~~~~Roxie
ReplyDeleteOH!!! I love it Patty! You are not copying, you are being inspired! Love the basket I think my favorite is the stenciled chair. All are so great! Thanks so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGoodness, you have been busy with that brush. Amazing what a little paint can do to change things up. Have a great week. Tammy
