We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful 4th of July day in our city. The weather was perfect and it was so good to see the community out having such a great time. I found the patriotic photo booth, am amazed at what can be done with balloons these days, and the magnificent fireworks show was half an hour long.
I sat and watched the band. They were very good, and their song selection was enjoyable.
The festivities were held on the high school grounds.
There was kiddie karaoke and these adorable little girls were singing "Let It Go" from Frozen.
I helped with the children's ring toss game and gave out prizes. I hadn't worked with small children since I was an elementary school nurse about four years ago. I remembered why I loved my job so much.
There were long lines that moved rather quickly, but people didn't seem to mind. There was fun in the air!
Oh, to be a kid again!
And yes, there was plenty of fabulous festival food!
Good job, Noblesville!

ReplyDeleteOur July 1st was a lot like your 4th - centred on children, as it really should be. It looks like you had a grand time!
ReplyDeleteHi Patty,
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you had a wonderful 4th of July! It was pretty dreary here, but at least it didn't rain. Looks like a great parade!
