Girls' Weekend in Atlanta - Part 2 - Faith On The Homefront

In my last blog post, I shared with you my trip to Atlanta, Georgia, where I spent a glorious girls' weekend with Becky, Missy and Julie. This blog post is a continuation of the fun times we had where we attended a creative event called Faith on the Homefront, hosted by Rosalyn Sue and Valarie, at Neiman Marcus in the Lenox Mall.

Faith on the Homefront was Rosalyn Sue's 5th annual fundraiser for Operation Stars and Stripes. Operation Stars and Stripes is a not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to supporting America's military and their families at home and abroad.

I cannot imagine how much time and effort Rosalyn Sue and Valarie put into planning this wonderful event. When we entered the room, we were simply awestruck by its beauty, and it took awhile for us to take it all in. It was fun snapping photos of every detail while catching up with old friends. This time the theme was Bible journaling which is a very popular thing to do these days.

It was all so dreamy. Here are some delicious details.

Aren't these cupcakes gorgeous?

Rosalyn Sue had these custom cookies decorated with a Bible verse that was meaningful to the event. She thought of everything!

Valarie made cherished crossed for the back of every seat from dyed coffee filters.

This shabby chic bench area made for a great photo op.

There were a variety of sugary crosses set about the room.

Beautiful Bible journaling supplies were available to enhance our experience.

Happy faces!

We had a tasty lunch too!

For those of you still on the edge of you seat, I told you that I would share who won the scavenger hunt at the Country Living Fair. Well, it was moi! I was thrilled when Rosalyn Sue presented this fabulous fall bracelet to me that she had created.

Our creative projects consisted of making a bracelet, decorating a Bible cover and learning some techniques for journaling in the Bible.

So that meant I took not only one, but two gorgeous bracelets home with me! Valarie sewed a Bible cover and a zipper pouch for each one of us that we could fill with beautiful supplies. How did we get so lucky to be part of this event?!

We hope that Rosalyn Sue and Valarie know how much we enjoyed ourselves and appreciated every ounce of effort they put into it.

It was such a lovely and meaningful way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

Rosalyn Sue and Valarie, thank you for making this day so special. We felt pampered, inspired and loved by you! You strengthened our faith in many ways! Thank you also for the work you do on behalf of our troops.
