For some reason I have been thinking about my little Ginny doll lately. I think it's from a combination of seeing old things we have as I have been cleaning out the basement and reading so many wonderful blogs about things people cherish. Ginny had been carefully packed away in storage.
It's a rainy day today and while reading blogs I came upon the Pink Saturday link party. I remembered Ginny's dress was pink, so I brought her out so I could write about her and join in on the the fun.
As a young girl, I spent hours and hours combing her hair. I took good care of her and she is in good condition. She even has her original socks and shoes.
I have two older brothers and it is very clear to me how excited my mother was when I came along. She loved buying girly things. I had all kinds of dolls. One Christmas morning I was given a large brown grocery bag full of individually wrapped doll items. It took me all morning to open the little presents and it was so exciting!
I showered Ashleigh with dolls too: Barbies, baby dolls and the American Girls dolls. I know she will do the same if she has a daughter.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane on this rainy Saturday afternoon. I love the color pink and hope to join in with Pink Saturday again!
It was a lovely trip :)

She is a darling doll. I can remember having a Ginny doll when I was little, with lots of little outfits; I don't know what happened to it.
