Got All Your Marbles?

Hello! How are you doing? I wanted to check in and tell you how our spring break vacation is going in Florida. On Monday, we drove along Route 41 up and down the road along the Ft. Myers and Bonita Springs beaches (drooling at the beautiful homes) but we didn't get out to walk on the beach. Aren't we the strangest people! It is such a pain trying to find a place to park to get there. Instead, we stopped at a little strip mall, had lunch and did a little shopping.

We had artichoke dip and grouper sandwiches. They were yummy! Then I found something really cool. An interchangeable marble necklace. We have such clever people in this world!

And I found a tumbler with a sand dollar appliqué in-between the layers to remind me of my wonderful time here. I love to drink out of them because they keep my drink cold and don't make condensation rings on the table.

Also found a Jane Austen book at a used bookstore. Some of my favorite bloggers have a thing for Jane and I want to see why. But that will have to wait until I finish The Hunger Games and see the movie (hopefully tonight or tomorrow night while here!)

Later in evening we went to the huge Simon outdoor mall closeby. We have one of these back home but this one is 3 times as big! Today Dan wants to golf so I am going to ride in the cart with him. We live in a golf community (back home and here too) but I am not a golfer, I am a crafter and decorator!  Can't do everything, right, along with holding a full time job?  When I talk to the ladies who golf, they hit the greens four times a week! I am afraid that wouldn't leave me enough time to be creative. Maybe someday...  But I will ride along with him in his golf cart since he was so patient with me while shopping.

By the way, we are seeing a lot of this:

Life is good here!  Enjoying every minute.  I hope you are having fun too!

    1. Hi Susan,

They are Dansko sandals from last year. These are the only kind of shoes I wear anymore. I experienced plantar fascia in my right heel in the fall and these shoes make walking bearable. Hubby bought me a couple pair while here on this trip as a special treat. I'm so happy for that! Thanks for stopping by!
