Holiday Copy Cats

I'm sorry I don't have anything original to share. I'm too busy copying everyone else's ideas! It sure has been fun! I have been using products I never would have known about had it not been for blogs and Pinterest tutorials. For example, I sprayed these bottles from Danny and Natasha's wedding with chalk board paint which I copied from here.

For another copycat project, I bought a paint marker and wrote the Tom Jones song (My Mother's Eyes) Danny and I danced to at his wedding on a dollar plate.

I baked it for 40 minutes as directed by the paint marker instructions. I got the idea here.

I couldn't wait for Ashleigh to come over. I knew she would want to write on a plate too. She decided to write a song that is special to her and her boyfriend around the edge in a circle. I had wondered how that would look. I like this way too.

So here we have mother and daughter plates using two different writing techniques.

Then I made a snow globe. I have wanted to do this for a long time.

There are lots of places on the web to find ideas for this quick project. I always loved the Martha Stewart ones and I liked the idea of the waterless snow globe. Michelle really inspired me here.

I love my deer and tree snow globe.

Three projects accomplished!

Have you copied anything from Pinterest? That's a joke! haha

  1. Oh, my gosh--great projects! I've totally wanted to do the plate since I saw it on Eclectically Vintage too. I love how you did two of them in different directions. So great! Your snow globes are adorable and I'm wondering about getting myself a glass block too! Thanks for sharing! :)
