Baby Shower Ideas

We drove to Cincinnati to my brother's and SIL's house for my niece's baby shower. I love to visit Steve and Julie's home situated along a creek. There are so many pretty and interesting things to see there.

I was so excited to see this diaper cake made by Julie's SIL. I have seen many on Pinterest but this is the prettiest one I have ever seen.

Mommy-to-be in the background admiring the cake too!

Lemonade or iced tea with floating lemons was very welcoming after a long drive. Dan, our chauffeur, stayed with us and enjoyed mixing the two for Arnold Palmers.

First we ate a delightful lunch of chicken salad or seafood croissants with fruit and salads. Then we played two games that were new to me. The first one was an interesting take on diapers. We had to name the candy bar that had been melted inside the diapers. It was fun and brought lots of laughs.

The second game was really cute too. Eleven baby items had been placed in a big black garbage bag. We each had 30 seconds to put one hand in and feel them and then write them down from memory.

Then we watched Stephanie open her gifts. She received these soft animal blankets and a lot of pretty pink clothes.

Most of us bought clothes because shopping for girl clothes is so much fun.

Here's a closer look at the diaper cake...

Have you been to a baby shower lately?

  1. What a darling party patty!!! I love baby showers so fun! the last one I went to was last summer, instead of chocolate bars on the diapers, we had baby food in them, and only had the daddy's try to guess them out, so funny!!! :-)

  3. What a cute baby shower! We just hosted a bridal shower over the weekend - Fairy Princess theme - it was a lot of work, but oh, so cute. Thanks for stopping over at my blog. Altering stuff is really easy - and what I love is that anything goes and there are no mistakes. If you don't like something, you just cover it up with another layer : )God bless!
