Beautiful Sunday: Beautiful Scenery

My high school friend, Lynn, took these photos while she was bike riding with her husband in Bowling Green, Ohio. Come along and let's she what she saw on her journey.

cows and barns

horses grazing in the grass

a deer

a hungry squirrel

cactus with pretty yellow flowers

and a sunflower!

And as the evening came, she captured beautiful sunsets.

As an avid bike rider, I can imagine how much fun it is to ride along her path. Thanks for sharing your photos with us, Lynn. Keep 'em coming - your photos are great!

  4. Wow! What gorgeous scenery! I love looking down the fence line and also seeing a white squirrel. We see them in NC near our home there! So neat! Enjoy your day! Hugs

  7. Patty thanks for sharing my pics! It's been fun to capture some pictures along our rides. Ann, it's very flat in northern Ohio, farmland as far as the eye can see....and Susan, glad to hear these pics are a trip down memory lane for you!

  9. I lived in Bowling Green, Ohio for 5 years while I did my graduate work at BGSU!! These photos brought back a lot of memories. Those fields go on forever. It's so flat there, and I was more used to the mountains and hills of Virginia. But I loved my time there. The landscape became beautiful to me.

  12. I've been in Bowling Green occasionally, as I lived in Dayton Ohio for almost 30 years. Our kids went to band camp there. These photos really reflect how lovely Ohio is. As much as I love our retirement here in coastal Florida, my trips back "home" are always wonderful.

  13. Confession to make, I never learned how to bike :) But if this is the kind of scenery I will encounter every time I bike, I might reconsider learning to bike again. Everything is picture perfect, so refreshing and relaxing especially for me who is exposed to the city life.

Thank you for linking up in my Sunday series Patty. Have a great week ahead!

  15. You and me, too, Patty... loved riding the country roads! And how I miss it! Poor little bike only sees the 'burbs and cars. By the way, a huge event was going on near Bowling Green. A tractor pull! Would you believe that hotels were booked solid for the weekend? I know as we needed a room on Saturday night and it was tough going trying to find one! Apparently, it's a big deal. And all I could think of was the country song, "She Thinks My Tractors Sexy!".. LOL

  16. Kadee; Yes the Tractor Pull is a huge event in Bowling Green, the hotels sell out way in advance. This is the first time in a long time that the BGSU students didn't move in the same weekend as the Tractor Pull. It can make for one crazy weekend. Although I've lived here now 33 years, I've never been to a pull before! You can hear the tractors roar though all over town, REALLY loud! and you can hear the announcers yell FULL PULL!! As for the squirrels, there are gray, red, black and white ones in BG and they have quite the following, I think BGSU even has a Pintrest Squirrel board! We also have a pair of Falcons that nest in the tower of the Court House and have bred, that have been fun to watch!
