My Happy List: Coach Barbie, Family Times & A Clean Deck

I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my Coach Barbie Doll. Did you see her advertised on Facebook? It was available on the Coach website for about two days. She sold out very quickly. I will always love Barbie dolls and Coach purses. They make a great combination as far as I'm concerned.

We finally sprayed the mold off of our deck with Olympic deck cleaner after talking about it all summer. It made me happy to see the mold instantly disappear. Our deck is made of a composite mixture of recycled wood fibers in a resin base. It sure is nice that it won't warp, crack or split.  It only took a couple hours to clean it so it is well worth it!

You can see the difference between treated and untreated in this photo.

It's getting there!

We had a nice dinner out on the deck that evening. Steaks, yum!! See Hootie in the background? And you can see that we do not have neighbors next to us yet. Sure would love to have some.

When I saw that Ashleigh had posted this picture of herself on Facebook (the one on the right) it reminded me of my picture when I was a sophomore in high school. It amazes me how much she resembles me and it tickles me so.

Danny was in town for a minute (as he would say) and we had such a good time together, playing cards, doing Facetime with Natasha and our little grandson, and acting silly.

Ashleigh, Danny, Dan and me. We wish Natasha and Jackson could have been with us in person.
I need to hug that little guy very badly.

  1. Patty,
I would love to be your neighbor! Your deck looks great, that is something that we need to do to ours too. I cleaned it at the beginning of Spring but it's showing signs of needing it again. Hope to do that before winter sets in, it makes for a nasty looking green mess if we let it go too long.
Cute photos of y'all...looks like you were having lots of fun!!
    Have a great week.

  2. We all have our own collections. I bought a vintage Fisher Price Farm and Silo last week. Thrilled me to my toes. I have been after one for ages.
LOVE, the family pics! So fun! And you and Ashleigh are twins!!! Crazy!!!
    Hugs,
    Kris

  3. I love the family photos! What a nice looking group! You seem to like each other, too. :-)

You and Ashleigh are like twins! You're both so pretty.

I still love Barbie. I lost mine along the way. It would be fun to collect them. But I would want to play with them, LOL.

  4. I must come up with a Happy List so I can participate in the party one week.

Before reading, I just assumed that both pics were your daughter. Neither of our children look a bit like us.

  15. I love your happy list. Coach Barbie looks cute. I love your family silliness. Great family photo. You and your daughter do look a lot alike, two beautiful women. Oh, we so desperately need to clean and stain our deck. We did it only two years ago but the brand we bought did not live up to it's warranty at all.
