I had been wanting to get the big beautiful bulletin board out of the basement (that's alot of b's there - lol), decorate it and put it in my creative space as done by Okio B Designs here. I made a banner of Leonardo da Vinci's art across the center of it.
First I soaked a burlap coffee bag we got when we visited Darrin's Coffee Co. to get the seams out. I used the laundry room sink and then let it line dry. I was happy with how it came out as I had never worked with burlap before. I stapled the burlap to the bulletin board, with the wrong side facing out to hide the colors on the front of the bag. I didn't want them to interfere too much with what I wanted to put on my inspiration board. I found these round disks at an antique shop. They are for an ancestry board but I connected them all together to make a garland. I used the bow tacks I just found at Avon Antiques to hold them up.
Since I made the board, I keep adding to it. That's what it's for, right? I wanted to cut out some Fleur-de-lis with my Silhouette Cameo (inspiration here) and then the Edwardian girl on the bike.

I decided I need more of them...
My Silhouette Cameo gets such a workout!

I said out loud....that is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen! I love this art! (where did you find the images of the famous art? If you don't want to say in your post, will you email me? heehee) Sweet hugs!

What a great idea to put the burlap over the bulletin board! Makes for a great space to showcase whatever is inspiring you at the time. I need to do something like this.
