Art Squared September 20th!

Ashleigh and I are excited about having a booth in the Indianapolis Fountain Square art fair called Art Squared that will be held on September 20th from noon to 6 PM. Besides the art fair, there will also be an art parade and an art and writing competition. More information about the activities can be found here.

We've been planning for months. I have been scouring ideas for our booth from Pinterest and purchased a canopy and special covers for our display tables. My greatest inspiration has come from Christine Barker of Scarlet Calliope. She wrote a great post (here) about her first experience in having a booth at a flea market and she offers many fabulous ideas.

Since this is my first time participating in an art show, I have been practicing with my display so I will know exactly where to put things when I get there. Awhile back, I had painted several pieces with Mason Blanche Vanille and didn't realize until now how much they will help in showing off my products. Here are some pictures of the display I set up in my studio.

There will be handmade greeting cards

gift tags

hand stitched journals

whimsical moon-themed banners, ornaments and gift tags

Moon faced ornaments hanging on tree branches

framed Halloween images printed onto vintage book pages

Christmas gift tags and ornaments

melted record bowls

and more! I've enjoyed being busy with this project as I'm happiest when I am creating things.

Ashleigh will have a variety of original art including some of her charcoal drawings and portraits. I haven't seen all of her stash yet but I know it will be amazing. She just completed some commissioned pieces that are wonderful. Some of her work can be viewed here.

If you are in Indy on September 20th, come on down and see Ashleigh and me at the Art Squared art fair! It will be a great time!

  1. Wow, Patty! You have got some wonderful items for sale there! I hope you sell right down to the bare table. I LOVE those moon banners. Those are just darling! I used to look up at the moon as a child and really BELIEVE that was the face of God. lol Yes-I was fanciful.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Looks like I will have a houseful-again!;>) xo Diana
